    Launched social business support program “CHANGE”, which gives low-interest financing for social business, by collaborating with Seibu Credit Union, Nippon Foundation
  • 2013. May
    Open job website “DRIVE” in order to enhance recruitment of social enterprises, NPOs and venture companies
  • 2012. Sept
    Held “Social Entrepreneur Training Action Learning Program” for local revitalization of Bunkyo Ward by collaborating with Tokyo University and Bunkyo Ward
  • 2012. June
    Launched “Michinoku Rivaival Partners”, a program which private companies support young leaders in earthquake disaster areas. 7 companies established consortium (Isuzu Motors Limited, Kao Corporation, Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc., Dentsu Inc., TOSHIBA CORPORATION, Benesse Corporation)

    Supported 95 social entrepreneurs at “Social Venture Startup Market” of the Cabinet Office’s Employment Creation Program in Regional Society Program
  • 2011. May
    Launched “Migiude” Fellowship Program dispatching human resources to leaders challenging community problem solving project in the Tohoku area. Have dispatched 182 people to 102 organizations from 22 communities (as of March 20120134)
  • 2011. March
    Launched Disaster Recovery Leadership Project in the aftermath of Great East Japan Earthquake
  • 2009. April
    Held the first training course for administrative officers by collaborating with the National Institute of Public Administration. Over 2000 junior administrative officers has participated in the course

    Held the first “Young Community Challenge Award”
  • 2007. March
    The accumulated total number of participants of Entrepreneur Internship Program exceeded 2000 people, and the number of program alumni starting new business has exceeded 100 cases

    Won “Economy, Trade and Industry Minister’s Prize” at the first JNB New Business Creation Awards
  • 2005. Oct
    Published Create Job in a Town You Love – Address the Smile- from TO Books
  • 2004. April
    Launch “Challenge Community Project” which aims to spread the challenges of young entrepreneurs by collaborating with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. For the first round, five model project were adopted (spread to 61 communities up until now)

    Won “Partnership Award” thrown by NPO Partnership Support Center

    Launched “NEC Non-Profit Organization Start-up Training Course for Students,” first time in Japan

    Held “STYLE”, the first social venture business plan competition for young entrepreneurs challenging social issues

    Launched “ETIC. Social Venture Center” which supports entrepreneurs challenging social issues

    Certified as Non-Profit Organization (NPO) from the Economic Planning Agency of Japan (current Cabinet Office)
  • 1999. August
    Internship at IT venture companies achieve critical mass (217 interns participated in the 3rd round)
  • 1999. July
    Published “Internship Utilization Method” from Nikkei Jigyo Publication Company
  • 1997. June
    As the organizing function expanded, integrated the organization name to “ETIC.”
  • 1997. March
    Launched “Entrepreneur Internship Program (EIP)” which became the first long-term hands-on internship program at venture companies in Japan (76 interns participated in the first year)
  • 1995. May
    Collaborated with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for holding nation-wide “Let’s Make Young Society Symposium.” Attracted more than 5000 students through many events at universities aiming to enlighten entrepreneurship
  • 1994. May
    Held “Shushoku-chotto-matta-symposium (“Wait before deciding your employment symposium” at Waseda University. Gathered 300 university students and over 10 medias.
  • 1993. March
    “ETIC. Student Entrepreneur Liaison Conference” launched by students from 10 universities aiming to start new business
  • 1993. April
    Started as a study session of students aiming to become entrepreneurs at Waseda University, Tokyo (Held over 200 seminars/ study sessions within 3 years)
